Perhaps powermongers seeking media spotlight took the day off to celebrate. The only items in the news of the local daily are candidate profiles, another goofy claim that the economy is recovering, and a whole string of crime news. Hey, I thought crime (not the legal white-collar stuff) was supposed to increase in tough economies.
