One can only wonder if the increasing concern about an economic collapse has more to do with right-wing lunatics taking pharmaceuticals with paranoiac side effects, with what is happening in other countries where scarcity following reckless debt accrual has compelled governments to impose austerity measures, or with historical accounts of governments who have taxed their people beyond their willingness to cooperate.
The Daily Planet last month covered a presentation entitled “Being Prepared,” which was led by Preston Ingalls at the Skills Conference at the Haywood County Fairgrounds. Ingalls asked, “Why do you think the United States government is buying ammunition?” He then presented recommendations on how to network, how much of what to stock, where to build bunkers, what kinds of firearms to keep, how to defend against an EMP, and how to establish warning systems and lines of defense.
