Haywood County has been prospering so much, it now finds itself a victim of the state’s perverse economic development incentives. It has moved from Tier 2 to Tier 3, and is thus not eligible for the same level of economic development incentives it once was.

The WNC Central Labor Council/AFL-CiO and local MoveOn chapter intend to protest the increase of taxes on the middle class and support increased taxes for the wealthy. No consideration is offered for passing tax increases on to customers or evasion.
