Back in Polk County, you may recall the citizens fought the new UDO that at first granted the UDO czar or his designees power to traipse through anybody’s property at will without a search warrant (as is typical of planning documents these days). Monday the commissioners heeded their constituents and either struck out offensive clauses, or tabled consideration until after the election.
