Political campaigning seems lamer this year than usual. Us paeons were invited to enter lotteries to win dinner and airplane rides. Then, Ronnie Milsap graced one candidate’s appearance, so James Taylor showed up at the local camp for the other candidate. Adding to the stupidity is the debates. My take is that the candidates cherry-pick facts from those that are known by the general population, and then compete to snip at the other with the best attitude. The Marshall Tucker Band played at the last one, by the way. A commercial has a girl saying her favorite president was so-and-so because she liked his wife.
