The Henderson County Commissioners wish to give $197,736 to a high tech firm, and the Town of Fletcher wants to give them another $125,125. To be special, they have given their solicitation the code name “Project Napoleon.” According to the article, the company would create 106 fulltime jobs that pay better than Henderson County’s average wage of $663/week (!). On the bright side, the company said one reason it was interested in Fletcher was that NC was a right-to-work state.
