I was out on other business during the last debates, so I figured I’d read the transcript later. When I got home, I heard my landlord making Michael Jackson noises as the analysts conceded this point and that to his candidate. Then, I began reading the transcript. About a quarter way through, I realized I hadn’t read anything. Obama kept talking about women, and the rest was useless abstraction. So, what good is a nation of people who choose to be led by a prevaricator or a shape-shifter, based on which can hit the other with the biggest attitude?
