Multiple headlines continue to clamor for more security – in schools, in theaters, and in malls. Meanwhile a self-defense instructor laments he will likely get no new clients. The responsibility for something as rudimentary as staying alive is now abdicated to capacity-building authorities. (Translated to English, that means power mongers.)
