Bravissimo!

Senators Tom Apodaca (R-Henderson), Harry Brown (R-Onslow) and Bob Rucho (R-Mecklenburg) filed Senate Bill 2 to exempt North Carolina from establishing a state-based health insurance exchange or a state-federal partnership exchange.

The bill also directs the N.C. Department of Insurance to return unspent taxpayer funds awarded by the federal Department of Health and Human Services earlier this month to create a state-federal partnership exchange.

Much thanks goes to Senator Apodaca for his work on SB 2 aimed at exempting NC from establishing a state-based health insurance exchange or a state-federal partnership exchange.

It’s important for our legislature to provide leadership to our governor so that he understands that the people of NC want to ignore Obamacare’s provisions and make it impossible for the Federal Government to move ahead with this tyrannical program.
Senator Tom, thanks for standing behind the people of NC.
