FCC Says WCQS OK

Fred Flaxman tried to prevent the FCC from renewing WCQS’ broadcast license. Flaxman formed the Ad Hoc Committee for Responsible Public Radio, and collected signatures for a petition. The FCC, however, chose not to entertain his concerns. Flaxman, who has a strong background in public radio, wanted to get involved with the radio station when he moved to the area, but found a lot of the legally-mandated organizational structure he needed to do so was missing. WCQS promptly corrected the flaws when they were brought to leadership’s attention, and the FCC said that would suffice.
