Nonbinding Rigmarole

If there’s news, I’m not seeing it today. Asheville City Council continued their last formal meeting until this afternoon. Then, they went into closed session for about half an hour and emerged only to say they were not going to change the wording on the referendum ballot. Despite the well-intended efforts of concerned individuals, I still fail to see a good reason for the vote; especially in these days when it is considered weird to take anything literally. The blurb is to read:

Shall the City of Asheville undertake the sale or lease of its water treatment system and water distribution system?
