At one point the City of Asheville was speaking about changing the course of the Swannanoa River as it runs through Azalea Park. Is that a proper role of government? Maybe we could build a beach with palm trees and lots of sun. Tuesday night, between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m., at 906 Tunnel Road, city representatives will be accepting public input on the floodplain management plans for the greenspace.
